A Buddhist mala containing 108 individually hand cut yak bone beads plus three sets of spacers and end beads made from Turbinara shell and carnelian stone, strung on sturdy cotton cord. This is a genuine vintage mala used for worship and collected by my father Bernard Heaphy in Tibet during the 1990's.
This mala can easily fit over the head.
Yak bone beads and spacer beads are all approx 1.5 cm (0.5"0 wide) with a total doubled length of 41 cm (16") including the cotton tassel.
