Stunning dark green jade hei matau (fish hook) pendant.

This is a natural piece of hand carved nephrite jade, carved by a Maori artisan in Lake Taupo and personally sourced by us, ie the genuine article carved by a Maori in New Zealand (the majority to be found on the web today are carved in workshops in China under the "supervision" of Maori craftsman who may visit once a year).

In Maori culture the fish hook represents strength, good luck and safe travel across water.
