Made from a copper rich bronze alloy over a clay core, these miniature animals are called
Dhokra, a 5000 years old art form made by a handful of Kond villages within tribal Eastern India. Dhokra is made by the lost wax method of casting, so every piece is unique and can take up to a week to complete. Our pieces are all circa 1900.
This figure is a lovely, very detailed representation of a Brahmin bull.
