Tekke Turkoman Gold and Silver Pendant

Tekke Turkoman women's pendant.  High grade silver, 24k gold fire gilding, finished with carnelian stones.  All dangles are intact and original. Early 20th Century. 

This interesting piece of jewellery may have once been one of a pair of pendants that adorned the embroidered headdress of a Turkoman woman, sewn onto the fabric of the cap at the temples.

Measurements: total height including dangles 15 cm. Width at widest point 5.7 cm.
