    Antique Silver Afghan Pakistani Amulet

    This beautiful amulet pendant shows Afghan, Turkoman and Pakistani influence. The inverted heart shapes are Turkoman in style and have a protective function. The glass "gems" are possibly Afghan Kutchi, while the rounded amulet style is Afghani/Pakistani.

    High grade silver, early 20th century. It was collected by Bernard Heaphy, founder of Kashgar, in the 1980's out of Pakistan.
